Origins – OR2202

Join Origins host Ray Heiple as he welcomes, Dr. John Whitmore for, “Mica, Small but Mighty.” What are the rocks are telling us? Mica is a flaky soft and shiny mineral that can often be seen glistening in beach sand, but it isn’t found in desert sands. Our guest and his geology students were able to show, with a series of simple experiments, that mica from one of the Grand Canyon’s formations is great evidence that it was created during a worldwide flood.
