Salvation Encounter … Next Steps!
If you have never given your heart to Jesus, we believe it’s no coincidence that you’re reading this right now! Jesus has been pursuing you since you were born. It breaks His heart that sin has been blocking Him from having a relationship with you. The only way to have that right relationship is by accepting Him as both Lord and Savior. He is inviting you right now to confess that you are a sinner in need of a Savior.
Jesus left heaven, died on a cross, and rose again so that He could set you free from your sin! He wants to give you new life! He has incredible plans for you! You can talk to Him right now in your own words, but here is a prayer to guide you through starting your own personal relationship with Jesus ...
“Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner in need of a savior. I recognize the truth that you are both Savior and Lord, and I am in need of you. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I want to be made new and become the person you made me to be starting today. Your Word says that if I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in my heart that God raised you from the dead, then I am saved! Your Word also says that if I confess my sin, you are faithful and just to forgive me of my sin and cleanse me from all unrighteousness.
I am saved and I am forgiven! Help me to follow you and grow closer to you every day for the rest of my life. Amen.“ (See Romans 10:9, 1 John 1:9.)
If you just prayed that prayer, you are a brand-new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17)! The old is gone and the new has come! Welcome to God’s family! You are now a child of God (1 John 3:1). God’s heart beats for you, and all of heaven is rejoicing!
His relationship with you and your relationship with Him is of primary importance.
